Before and After Vaneers
- Porcelain veneer cost If the pulp or nerve of your tooth has become infected it is only possible through Root Canal Treatment to clean and remove this infection. Doing this will avoid (further) pain, infections and abscesses. If left unchecked, the infection from inside your tooth can spill into the surrounding jaw bone and eat away at the bone. This can sometimes lead to permanent bone loss and loss of teeth.
- How do I know if porcelain veneers will work for me? This is a question we are asked often. It is only after we complete a comprehensive examination of your entire mouth can we advise if porcelain veneers are suitable for you. We achieve this by examining your entire mouth, making models of your teeth and gums and taking extensive photos of your smile.
Sometimes, people assume that because their front teeth look bad, just fixing those alone will solve everything. In reality, the appearance of the front teeth is often the result of what is happening all over their mouth. From breakdown of back teeth to unchecked gum disease.
Once an examination is completed, we then listen carefully as to what it is you wish to achieve for your smile. Then, we can determine if porcelain veneers are the best to help you achieve this.
- The “try before you buy” smile Once we start down the road of changing your smile, we spend time recreating your design on models to show you what is possible. In addition, we recreate a digital simulation with before and after pictures for your thoughts. This all before we even start working on your teeth.
Once you approve of the “prototype” we then prepare your teeth and place a trial smile directly on your teeth them to see how it suits you.
Sometimes, the trial smile can be placed before your teeth are prepared to speed up the process of giving you an idea of how things will change.
- How long do dental veneers last? On average, veneers last 10-15 years. However, like everything if they are well maintained and looked after. They can last as long as 20 years. Regular examinations of your veneers is important as decay, chips and loosening can occur and often go unnoticed.
